The war between Armenia and Azerbaijan left many refugees and orphans, and after a number of years left some towns half populated by people with severe mental problems. She brought the young women she could into her home, and if that wasn't enough to provide stability, she adopted them, and still found the heart and civilisation to lay out food for us when we called. Next-level excellent.

As a young man Luc saw a ballroom dancing troupe board a packed early-morning train after a long night and noted how commuters' spirits were lifted and freed by seeing them. He vowed to use the serendipitous lesson and wore nightclub shirts and winklepicker shoes every day of his life from then on. Millions of spirits slightly lifted and freed, an excellent spend of life.

At 19 she was seven months pregnant and barely a month married when Argentine agents abducted her and killed her new husband. She was assassinated after giving birth and her child was adopted out in a foreign country, whereupon her grandfather spent 22 years trying to trace the child. He eventually found her and she was reconnected to Claudia's current, spending that life force today fighting the kind of inhumanity that led to such a filthy breakage of excellence.

David was a street kid with a birth certificate in his pocket which didn't show a date of birth. He couldn't read or write but used to hang out watching information films in the US Embassy lobby. He later used the jargon he learned to talk business owners into hosting gift donation bins at Christmas, successfully launching a charity for kids like himself. Excellent spend, we forgive him for the other shit.

Not Jesus but Bing. Jesus didn't ride to your house at the crack of dawn, dismantle his motorbike, bring it inside, put it back together and ride it indoors in order to wake you up. The only way to avoid it was to live at Bing's place, where you could stay as long as you liked without being woken up. And if you ever said to Bing 'This penny that fell on the ground is now the godhead of our friendship, we must return every year to worship', he would go there and wait every year. Just excellent.
